SIS30321 Certificate iii in fitness
The SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness is an entry-level qualification that allows individuals to work in fitness facilities, community groups, and leisure industries. SIS40221 Certificate iv in fitness
The SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness reflects the role of a personal trainer. This includes developing, instructing, and analysing individualised exercise and fitness programs for a range of generally healthy people. Personal trainers are typically employed or self-employed. Strength and Conditioning
Developed in-house, the FIT College Strength and Conditioning course aligns with ASCA accreditation for ASCA L1. Individuals wishing to learn more about sports-specific training and conditioning might consider this stream as a way to work with the general healthy population, sports centres, or athletes. Education Pathways
Vocational Education & Training (VET)
The direct vocational pathway for the Certificate III is the Certificate IV in Fitness. These qualifications are most commonly purchased together and completed in sequence. The FIT Elite Course contains qualifications and additional value; check it out!
University & Higher Education
Bachelor study in exercise science is the most common academic pathway from Vocational fitness study. Exercise science is concentrated more on athletes and exercise performance than on normal people and health. Other common university pathways that align with streams include sports coaching, exercise physiology, sports management, and sports nutrition.
Industry Specific
All fitness and exercise instructors should complete short courses and upskilling. FIT College has several short courses that qualify for continuing education credits with AusActive to help you maintain registration. Course Requirements
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for the SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness. However, FIT College does not accept students under 14 years of age, and all students must meet LLN requirements.
Required General Resources:
• Access to a computer or device that can connect to the internet
• Internet access with a broadband plan suitable for online study
• Smartphone, camera, video camera, or device that can take pictures & record videos for uploading the the Learning Platform
Course Assessment
Every qualification, unit of competency or skill set completed at FIT College will require students to undergo several written and practical assessment tasks. The assessment tasks are designed to confirm that the student can meet all elements and performance criteria indicated in the curriculum. By completing each assessment task to the standard indicated, students are ready and eligible to perform those elements in the workplace.
English & LLN Requirements
All Students
All domestic students must demonstrate competency in language, literacy, and numeracy.
ESOS/CRICOS Additional International Student Requirements
In addition to other LLN requirements, international students may be required to achieve a minimum test score in one of the following English language tests:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic:
- 5.5 overall score with no band scoring less than 5.0
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Internet-Based Test:
- 50 overall score with a minimum score of 5 in Reading, 5 in Listening, 14 in Speaking and 15 in Writing
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Paper Based Test:
- 530 minimum test result.
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE):
- 162 overall score with no less than 154 in any component
Pearson Test of English: Academic (PTE:A):
- 42 overall score with no less than 36 in the communication band"

Payment Options
Interest-free payment plans and payment-in-full options are available. Promotions and short-term plans can reduce course costs. Courses must be paid for before receiving a certificate.
ESOS/CRICOS Additional International Student Payments
International Students must pay for their course in advance before commencement. Payment can be made in full or before each Semester or Term.
Government Funding, Grants and Subsidies
Certificate III Guarantee
In QLD, FIT College is a Skills Assure Supplier for the Certificate 3 Guarantee program funded by the Queensland Government - Agreement Number QS102388. As a Skills Assure Supplier, FIT College is approved to deliver the SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness to approved fitness course participants through the Certificate 3 Guarantee program. Students Enrolling in Certificate III in Fitness with approval for this program will only pay a Co-Contribution towards the course:
- Concessional Rate: $1750
- Non-Concessional Rate: $2000
Eligibility Requirements: The program is open to any Queensland resident aged 15 years or over who is no longer at school (except VET in Schools students) and is an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and on the pathway to permanent residency. Prospective fitness education students must not have or be enrolled in a certificate III level or higher qualification, not including qualifications completed at school and foundations skills training.
*In Instances where the Certificate III in Fitness is purchased with other qualifications, only the Certificate III will receive subsidy with this program.
